G.1: Majestic Rovers 6 Balaga Tongo 4

Balaga go down to Majestic... A Disappointing result but a great game.

Graham Deane was a last second casuality due to doctors orders. After suffering from some kind of rare jungle hooping cough for the last month it was about time he went though. He brought in scab "Neill" as a replacment...

Team was:
Goaaaals - Blake
Defence(ish) - Kevin and Tom
Mid - young Neill
UP Front Hai - Phil and Webz

Some rocky defending in the first half from Tom and Kev was Balagas downfall as they failed to get thier heads in the game after the christmas break and left thier keeper exposed for 5 goals... Second half they were much more solid and almost kept a second half clean sheet...

Neill played well in midfield making some nice runs supporting the lads and tracking back well also... Some great play from Phil and Webz up front resulted in a goal for phil and 2 for webz and there maybe should of been more in the first half... The 4th goal came from a Webz corner, it was chipped to the far side of the box where Kev charged in to deliver cracking volly which burst the back of the net...

Blake Shine played well in goal throughout, picking up from where he left off last season... although in the dying minutes a long range shot along the ground resulted in a howler when the ball slid under his foot to kill of the game for Rovers... No fault really tho as the flood lights were broken over his goal... well we'll leave him off anyway cause he was daycent before it...

ALL in ALL after the first match its looking promising for the season ahead, Deanos on steroids and will be returning soon to defence where he stays unlike the rest of us... and there seems to be goals in Webz and phil whos link up play was excellent at times and was the highlight of the match, besides kevins rocket that is...

Opposition report:
Majestic didnt seem to quite have it together and with a dodgy keeper, and another dodgy fella in the team (who they stuck up front after he was rubbish in defence), they were rattled at times... tall fella with spanish jersey and stocky fella with blue undershirt were strong on the ball and the danger men.
