Turn of fortunes for Balaga Tongo!

After what can only be called a SHOCKING start to the 2007 autumn season, consisting of 10 league defeats, Balaga Tongos Results began to turn, it all started 3 weeks ago with a 2-2 draw against Balls Deep FC.

A week later, missing players Webz and O'Callaghan due to boozing commitments, Balaga recruited David 'Millzie' Mills into the squad. This golden kid added flair to balagas attack and they drew 4-4 with SLB although they led 2-0 at half time.

Then to this weeks game against pathetico madrid. An early 2-0 lead was gained by Tongo and they saw it out for the first VICTORY of the season, dispite a consolation goal late on from pathetico. All credit to the team who displayed great strength in holding onto the lead. Millzie recieved a 5 minute sin bin due what appeared to be rampent mouthing off to the ref, although balaga kept their nerve.

Its hard to pin down the change of form, but Graham 'Deano' Deane has been vital in the string of good results, holding fast in defence and rarely faltering. Also a mention to Blake Shine who has shone between the sticks through the second half of the season and Billy Meade a late recruit who has been solid in defending and creative in attack!!!

These changes and maybe the rest of the team have finally found their touches :)

Melbourne Knights swoop for Juggs...

Following the booze scandal that was balaga tongos Munich training camp, Paul Juggs Scott made a shock mid November move to Oz to join the Knights... Scouted by ex-balaga player Willie Power and travelling with another old balaga favourite Eoin Fogerty Juggs left with the backing of management. His full contract was then transfered to Philip O Driscoll.

I think everyone at balaga tongo wish him all the best at his new club.

Juggs, seen here burnt and enjoying the dirty local sisters...
